This Week on Kel at Home

This week I have been completely immerging myself in writing blogs so that I can schedule some ahead of time instead of writing them all real-time. Just a little peek into the behind-the-scenes, but I’m hoping by pulling back a bit now to put my heart into my blogs, I can focus more on my socials moving forward. As you know, I’m tackling a huge list of projects in the coming months and I want to have all of my loose ends tied up!

In case you missed it, I made a big announcement at the end of November! We are so excited about taking this step together, and to continue sharing it all with you.

Furniture Projects This Week

This week I found some amazing FB marketplace finds for my apartment that I’m very excited about! If you’ve been following on stories, you know that this coffee table has my whole apartment stoked. You can actually put things on a surface instead of trying to balance it on a random couch cushion or pillow. Brandon has somewhere to put his feet when we have family tv nights, and we can easily stash extra pillows on the little shelf when they start swallowing us up. Wins all over the place.

I haven’t properly introduced my latest FB marketplace find from this week, but as a reader of this newsletter, you heard it here first! This is a gorgeous vintage looking shelf with peg hooks that will pack tons of charm into the entryway. It’s the perfect size, and it’s weirdly giving me mantel vibes. It would be fun to decorate with stockings and garland, right?! I don’t plan to paint it or anything, it seems so perfectly patina-ed as is.

Books I'm Reading

I started The Four Agreements this week. It looked so familiar that I assumed I had read it before, and maybe I did and forgot. But I thought it would be a quick little read and I’m happy I bought it. I’m only one chapter in and haven’t discovered what the agreements are yet, but the whole perspective is interesting so far.

I’m also still reading Untamed. I was on a streak and then stopped reading for a few weeks.

Recipe of The Week

This week’s recipe of the week is Peanut Butter Hershey Kiss Cookies! I made them for Thanksgiving and have been snacking on the leftovers all week this week. These are the easiest cookies to make for any occasion, and I have a serious core memory that these are necessary for holidays.

Movie of the Week

Hands down the movie of the week this week is Queenpins with Kristen Bell. It was hilarious, suspenseful, and based on a true story of two women who start a business online that ends up a little sketchy.  You can watch it on Hulu premium or Showtime. Definitely a nice little girls night movie!
